Is it bad that I don't want my girls to have a lemonade stand unless I know they can make a profit?
I just want to tell them, girls, wait til 4pm when people come home from work, you'll get more business.
I want to say, "girls, take your little 3 year old sister; she'll sell more."
I want to say, "girls, seriously? You only need to make one packet of lemonade because I know the only one drinking it is you."
But then there's the fact it gives them something to do. They have fun, learn comradery and maybe a little business ethic.... well, maybe not that last one.
Ella tries to charge her 4 year old sister to get a drink. The girl down the street once tried to talk ella into giving her all the profit because she stood looking pretty and that MUST be why someone bought the lemonade.
once these boys bought ella's lemonade and then threw it on her. then they asked if they could buy another cup. I asked Ella why she sold them the second cup and she told me, "mom, if they want to waste their money on throwing cold lemonade on me, let em. This way, I cool down and I get a dollar."
Smart kids, sneaky kids, but still my watermelon they're selling... Girls please don't charge a dollar per slice, I want it sold, not rotten by the end of this.
